Basic Use Tips & Guidelines of Essential Oils

Posted by:

When I first started out using Young Living essential oils 3 years ago, I was a little clueless as to how to use them. I was using them here and there, but didn’t really know the basic guidelines of dos and don’t. Young Living Essential Oils are potent and should be treated as such. Thus, why it is important to know how to store them and basic uses even when you just begin to dabble in the oils. I made a ...

What do heart rate training and yoga have in common?

Posted by:

If you have ever tried heart rate training, you may know that it is the most humbling, ego-less type of run training there is. It can be extremely mental.

If you haven’t, let me put it into perspective. My PR for a 5K is about 25 minutes. That was a recent PR and I could still likely run that if I got out there and pushed. Prior heart rate training, my long training runs were at around a 10:30 min/mi. Not anything speedy, but I ...

Who are you inspiring?

Often, while I am out on a long training run, I reflect on things for which I am grateful. I always seem to think of how I started endurance running.

Did you, however, that both words and thoughts have energy as well?

These words and thoughts can have an impact on both our emotional and physical well-being. We’ve all had thoughts like “I’m not good enough”, “I’m not pretty enough”, or “I’m not smart enough”.

Perhaps we have even said ugly words ...

There’s a Difference Between Giving Up and Letting Go

Posted by:

I was raised in a family that believed you should never quit anything. The no pain no gain mentality.

Unfortunately (and fortunately) this carried with me into adulthood.

If I start a project, training plan, relationship, or am employed at a job that isn’t working…I just stick it out, trudge through the muckiest of muck, and don’t quit. I would reach toward goals that maybe didn’t feel right and all while enduring A LOT of resistance along the way.

I tended to lose ...

10 Ways My Life Changed When I Got Serious About My Yoga Practice

Posted by:

noticed major shifts when I got serious about my yoga practice. Once I committed to my practice, I starting going to hot yoga 1hr/day and it has truly transformed me…both inside and out. Here are a list of the major shifts, but I am confident there are many more!

1 .My appetite has decreased.

Counter intuitive, right? Usually when I start doing more activities my appetite increases. I can put away some major food! Funny thing, ...
